A few weeks ago Daphne’s family took her to the pound as they no longer wanted her…Poor Daphne was very confused and quite scared but she sat quietly in the corner, hoping her family would come back for her and bring her home…But they didn’t.
We were asked could we help this gentle shy girl as the volunteers in the pound knew the chances of a “black dog ‘ getting rehomed from there were very slim. And they know how much we love the “underdog” here at Heathlawn.
So on Friday a very bewildered Daphne got out of our van and was made cosy in our kennels…At first she was too afaird to walk out past the other dogs but with some gentle coaxing she managed it.
She is so eager to please..She just trots off lead beside you. She stops when you stop..She sits and looks at you, waiting to see what you want from her…She loves gentle cuddles and hugs….
One day soon we hope,Beautiful Daphne will find herself a new family….
